Dr. Matt Skillen is the Vice President for Academic Affairs & Chief Academic Officer at McPherson College in McPherson, KS. Previously at McPherson, Matt served as the Assistant Provost & Dean of Faculty. Before his time at McPherson, Matt served for 14 years in a variety of roles at Elizabethtown College including most notably the R. W. Schlosser Professor of English and Dean of Faculty & Associate Provost for Student Learning. Matt also served in the English Department, the Communications Department and in the Teaching and Learning Design Studio at Etown. His early teaching career included time as a middle school English/language arts teacher for Maize USD #266 in Maize, KS. He is an active member of the National Council of Teachers of English Middle Level Section and serves as a member of the editorial team at Voices from the Middle with Dr. Robyn Seglem and Dr. Shanetia Clark.
